American Experience    Vietnam Online was developed to accompany Vietnam: A Television History, the television series produced by WGBH Boston. The site contains programme notes, brief profiles of leading individuals involved in the war, a timeline, reflections on events and maps.

Documents on the Vietnam War. These telegrams, minutes, and discussion notes range from the mid-1950s to the end of the 1970s, and most come from Chinese and Albanian archives. There are many documents from Albania archives on Vietnam-Albanian relations. The collection also includes several Chinese telegrams and memorandums on foreign and economic relations with Indochina, as well as discussions with Zhou Enlai and Mao Zedong.

Australia first sent troops to Vietnam in 1962, and increased this commitment, to include Operation Vietcong and Operation Full-On. By 1968, as Australian forces rose to over 8,000, opposition to conscription led to huge public protests. Australian forces withdrew in 1972, with a ceasefire signed in 1973.
